Get whichever volume you are missing. The material is scattered all over and you will be missing something important no matter what you look up.
So, you’re a Feynman Fan too! I’m missing Vol 1, have 2 & 3. They have been out of print so long that only in a rare book store or on ebay could you find vol #1.
In vol 2, if I remember correctly, is his explanation of bose vs fermi wave amplitudes. Fermions interfere with amplitude direct minus amplitude exchanged, bosons interfere with amplitude direct PLUS amplitude exchanged. This means fermions LIKE to go into different states, bosons LIKE to get into the same state.
Since fermions(the particles we’re made of)obey the Pauli Exclusion Principle : no 2 electrons in a given atom can have the same n, l, m and s #’s; this explains virtually all the facts of the world around us : society pecking order, turf, trees evenly spaced out in the forest, unique names, HATE....
Prof Feynman defines bosons as : if there are n number of bosons in a given state there is an n+1 enhancement factor for the next boson to join that state : lasars, gravity wells, birds of a feather flock together, LOVE.....
As we are matter WAVES as well as fermi particles and 1F + 1F = 1B or spin 1/2 + spin 1/2 = spin one(calling O’Reilly)then the next step should be obvious...
