Typical of modern British law enforcement they are giving burglars and muggers a free pass, while they clamp down on “crimes” like this.
I suppose it’s easier and safer for the police to arrest someone for driving with a cell phone than it is to go after real criminals in dangerous neighborhoods.

As the article reminds us, these cameras are like having a money printing-press in a city's administration buildings and gives those who are being prevented from arresting and jailing serious offenders something to occupy their time with.

Over the next mile or so, watched as he weaved in and out of lanes until way past me, and noticed an obscured plate. It looked like it was somehow "fogged" up, I guess to fool the cameras.
What's to prevent malicious license plate obscurations?
