Below are the results of a three-day poll in the state of Iowa. Results are based on telephone interviews with 600 likely Republican cacus goers and 600 likely Democratic cacus goers, aged 18+, and conducted December 26-27, 2007. The margin of sampling error is ±4.5 percentage points for each party.
1. If the 2008 Republican presidential caucus were held today between Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, Duncan Hunter, John McCain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, and Fred Thompson, for whom would you vote? (Republicans Only; Names Rotated) Mike Huckabee 29% Mitt Romney 27% Fred Thompson 15% John McCain 14% Rudy Giuliani 4% Ron Paul 4% Duncan Hunter 1% Undecided 6%
GO FREDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!
Hank
I sent him some more money last night. Anyone who wants to see Fred move ahead should do the same.
Even Ann Coulter thinks Mitt will win the nomination
Hooray, see, Fred’s really coming now. Fred won’t let us down. Fred’s the savior. We’ve destroyed all the others, Fred will save us. He’s all the way up to 15 %. All he needs now is another 4 months—the time it took him to get to 15 %—so that he can get up to 30 % and defeat those eeeeeeevvvvviiiilllll RINOs Huckabee and Romney. Don’t worry, Fred can do it. /s
Some of the poll results are a bit dubious considering they claim to have polled Republicans:
My guess is that they are polling too many independents, who are boosting Huckabee’s numbers and reducing Fred’s.
FR is NOT typical of republicans, but it isn’t THAT far away from the sort of republicans who would caucus on a January Iowa night.
XD
I went to see Fred today and he sounded very good.
Contrary to everyone who has said that his poll nuymbers drop as he gets out and meets people.
Not the case.
Fred’s strategy is working, but the polls I still don’t trust. The MSM controls how these polls are garnered. I would think Fred is closer to 20% in actual voters perception. Iowa is coming soon, and I will be glad to see all the Fred bashers on that day when he surprises everyone.
We have to send him as much as we can, otherwise we will end up with an inferior candidate.
When it’s good news, yea for polls. When it’s bad news, it’s remember Howard Dean! You ppl are funny.
If he tops McCain, he’s alive.
Golly gee, why stop at 20 % if we are going to do “real numbers”? Since we all know the polls are wrong because Fred is, after all The Savior, why not put Fred’s “real” number at 35 %, shoot, why not 78%, since that’s the percentage of FReepers who have a crush on Fred and his wife.
Hey, making up numbers is fun. Why bother with polls. Let’s start a “make-a-wish” club for FredHeads. /s
7. When making your selection for a presidential candidate, what are you looking for most in the candidate, charisma, experience, or ideology? (Democrats Only)
Ideology 32%
Charisma 30%
Experience 21%
Undecided 17%
charisma...that’ll get you a haircut and a hot bowl of soup
Yep. I sent mo money too.
Go FRED!
He can do it.
I want the media the “conservative” pundits and even the doubting Freepers eat some crow come January when Fred comes out stronger than anyone expects.
Nice response. Did you take your meds today?
Check out this yahoo’s posts. He/she’s not even a creative Fred-basher.
