On domestic policy he is a libertarian as anyone talking and is saying some things I actually agree with that no major candidate is addressing, but on foreign policy he is just what you say, nuts.

The only knee jerking is your Goose Stepping to your cult hero. It would be knee jerk if this wasn’t his 50th time. Most people take his words at face value and don’t have to Nuance the meaning.

What? All I did was state "Let the knee-jerking begin!"

It's a typical statement from Paul, it is what it is and it'll have no bearing on neither his supporters or his detractors.

So what excuse are the Paulbots going to offer up for their god’s latest bit of insanity?

Same ol' same ol. They will say in sanctimonious tones "Ron Paul believes in the Constitution ..." Some people are unable to deal with more than one or two or three issues at a time. If they love a candidate on their pet issues they will forgive him for everything else. That's just my take though.

All that crap was wrapped in the Blah, blah, blah. Great to pound your chest and scream at the top of your lungs, if you don’t have to face the consequences of those actions.

Real leaders like President Bush don’t have that luxury. He has to lead the Greatest Superpower the world has ever seen. He Is the Sheriff.

Cut&Run Paul is the pacifist on the corner who gets everyone killed.

Pray for W and Our Amazing Troops

I always thought we were quick to push democracy there.

Pervez needs to put his uniform back on and clean house.

Kill the bad guys.....and then we can vote.

Actually, in Pakistan's case, I don't think democracy is a good idea. Malkin has a quote by Andy McCarthy that explains why this might be so:

A recent CNN poll showed that 46 percent of Pakistanis approve of Osama bin Laden. Aspirants to the American presidency should hope to score so highly in the United States. In Pakistan, though, the al-Qaeda emir easily beat out that country’s current president, Pervez Musharraf, who polled at 38 percent.

President George Bush, the face of a campaign to bring democracy — or, at least, some form of sharia-lite that might pass for democracy — to the Islamic world, registered nine percent. Nine!

If you want to know what to make of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto’s murder today in Pakistan, ponder that.

There is the Pakistan of our fantasy. The burgeoning democracy in whose vanguard are judges and lawyers and human rights activists using the “rule of law” as a cudgel to bring down a military junta. In the fantasy, Bhutto, an attractive, American-educated socialist whose prominent family made common cause with Soviets and whose tenures were rife with corruption, was somehow the second coming of James Madison.

Then there is the real Pakistan: an enemy of the United States and the West.

I think Musharraf is actually the best of really bad options for that crappy country.

“I always thought we were quick to push democracy there.”

I simply don’t understand why the US starts making public pushing for elections in places that would be much more stable with a generally pro-american dictatorship. The US isn’t going to get a perfect government in most countries it wants to politically interfere in, but honestly I don’t see how we could get a more favorable government in Pakistan, regardless of problems with the current one. Folks on FR and other places make one-liner comments, but seriously, who is going to replace Musharraf who has a similar amount of control over the military, the intelligence service, etc.? We are talking about a nuclear power here with a political system centuries behind ours.

people running for POTUS, who will come out and
make desparaging statements, that the media loves to
exploit?? knock it off....and voters..never vote for
anyone who is not optimisticbo about us.some

Paulbots claim Neocons planning assassination of Ron Paul

Johnnie, I've always denounced the crackpots who are exploiting Paul's campaign. That video doesn't prove anything except you have a bored fringe out there looking to cause trouble.

Now I've saw the video of Paul here and it's really a general statement that I'd expect him to make about the tragic death of Bhutto. You can call it what you want but when the dust settles it's not going to change minds one way or another.

You're a Monty Python fan too?

The Ministry of silly walks is coming up next. ;-D

Wow, with support like that, how can Paul go wrong?

Its all living proof that the majority of this clowns support is coming from the left. He’s an a-hole, and so are his followers.

I am wondering at what point you abandon your support of Paul?

Like you say, this is a statement you would expect of him. How many more ‘blame America first’ statements from Paul will it take for you to realize what a moonbat he is?

Of course Ron Paul blames America, because he is that kind of anti-American weasel.

Paul never said anything about Al Qaeda being “justified.” I know you despise Ron Paul but that is not excuse for making up things out of whole cloth.

Don't ever confuse me with a Ron Paul supporter.

That's so far off, it can't be seen with the naked eye.

President Bush has bought into the Natan Shiransky(sp)concept that a democratically elected govenment is the precurser to the elimination of radical ideology.

I do not agree. We need friendly dictatorships.
