“I think it’s a terrible shame that politics has become show business.” -
— Sydney pollack

Mr. Gore, whose supporters include such directors as Steven Spielberg, Sydney Pollack and Rob Reiner

Pollack has contributed tens of thousands of dollars to Democrats over the years. Some of the recipients were Clinton, Boxer, and California Reps. Barbara Lee and Maxine Waters.

Executive Producer Paula Weinstein, who has given to Sens. Clinton, Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and Jon Tester (D-Mont.), praised Sydney Pollack for being the only director able to deal with the “dramatic twists and turns of the story with honesty and truthfulness.”

I always felt that if Gork had had the same regard for the country as Nixon did when he got screwed by Joe Kennedy and the Daley Machine in his election loss, the country would be more unified in a time or war. Gork also botched the advantage of the incumbency and the strategic handling of the recount. Gork plainly was bad for the country.

And I still have the mental image of the dope with the glasses on his forehead, intently gazing at a paper ballot while he was hoping to see a dimple in the card for Gork.
