Romney is a victim of his record not his religion. I think the 1994 Senate Campaign audio that I think the Log Cabin Republicans who supported him then was devastating. Mitt Romney for 12 years took the following positions.

I am not with Reagan-Bush, I was an independent then.
Promoting open homosexuals in the military. Saying he would do better than the Cape Cod Orca.
We should leave Roe v. Wade alone, it’s good law.
He campaigned that I have stood up to religious right and other extremists in my party.
Says he stood up to special interests like the National Rifle Association.
He excluded the Boy Scouts from the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics due to political correctness.
He started government mandated health care in Massachusetts.
Didn’t lift a finger to stop a 4-3 court decision that twisted the constitution into a pretzel that said he and the legislature had to approve homosexual marriage.
Did nothing about sanctuary cities in Massachusetts and hired illegal alien contractors, just fired them this month after 2 years of questions.
I don’t think Massachusetts was run any different under his administration than it was under Weld or Carlucci.
Bain Capital, hia investment group is deep in bed with the Chinese. Do we believe he will do anything about China’s currency manipulation, hegimony, or huge trade surplus with the U.S.

Why Paul Wyrich, Bob Jones, and James Dobson would consider backing this guy is unbelieveable, their only reason could be to stop Guliani. He has money and probably a better organization.

He is too new and unreliable to the conservative cause. I say let Mitt show how good a conservative he become the George Soros of conservatism. Help finance, speak out and promote the ideals of the pro-family, pro-constitution, pro-liberty people of this country and take on our opponents and deal with the media and left-wing critism and vitriole that comes when your in the arena.

Campaigning as a conservative for 1 year during primary season is not sufficient for my support.

You posted a ton of “good” stuff about Willard, but you forgot his phony troopers who got caught while Willard was here in NH. Good job Eagle.

Years ago, I was told (after a strange employment experience with a large-Mormon owned corporation) that this particular Mormon owned business had a reputation of being extremely anti-union (forcing union busts, without any intention of negotiating with union employees).

And while it was said to me that this is not unusual behavior for Mormon business owners, I have never heard anyone mention this. So, I have no idea if it is even remotely true. Has anyone else out there ever seen any DOCUMENTED evidence of this being the case?

If it is untrue, I would like to dump the thought from my mind. And if it is true, then maybe people who care about jobs (with decent hours and wages) in America need to know about this. I realize unions are not perfect. But as there are now so many Americans who are working long, weird hours, and sometimes more than seven days straight, (and for minimum wage), it bothers me. I have had the experience of being a union employee and also a business owner. And I don’t completely buy into the fact that it is only the unions who are driving businesses out of America. It’s has been the steady tax increase on business owners (in some states, more than others)... and the victimization of business owners by frivolous lawsuits that ruin things for so many. Why not go back to the business model for America that actually used to work best for everyone (society, families included)?
