What if someone gave my Muslim friend a one-year subscription to the pork-of-the-month club... An astute Muslim knows that, just like a received gift card from a department store that you'll never shop at, this particular one-year subscription makes a great recycle-gift for some 530+ Senators & Representatives at the federal level of the United State [intentionally not pluralized] government.

LOL! My grandmother used to put gifts, unopened, in the attic. There was quite a sale after she died, bless her heart.
My parents called, and Mom said she got the clothes at Belk’s so I can easily exchange the sweatsuit, along with the shirts that were too big for my daughter. It was a thoughtful gift - I loved it last year :-).

Simply everyone post their bad gift here, their is someone here that might really need your unwanted gift and you could exchange gifts. Then contact me at Freep mail to send me the processing fee.
The main point of that column was that bad gifts are a burden because they fail to show real love.
If the person gave a gift with a positive intention, then that is what counts. Showing love is in the intention, not in your subjective response.

Ya know? when I was a kid we didn’t have much money.
We were so poor, my parents cut holes in my pockets so I would have something to play with.

Moving house is a great way to "lose" unsuitable gifts.
Did that this year - although I was careful not to "lose" any gifts given to me by the friends who helped with the move!

Like I said in a post in the other thread, the worst Christmas present I ever got was a Hickory Farms cheese try from my husband. I would not have been offended had I gotten the gift from someone else
