So The Only People who shall run for office are the ones that you approve of?

generally that's how it works, that's why we vote on who we approve off....DUH!

but the Ron Paul paullution runs deep, sadly. He is everything to everyone that feels left out because their views are too extreme for the mainstream, you know the majority of voters. That's why racist and neoconfederates sing along side the antiwar types and the druggies the praises of the Paul.

In the paul all the lunatic fringe elements can come together to overthrow the present government or so they believe.....

personally I can't wait until it all begins to unravel.

Me: So The Only People who shall run for office are the ones that you approve of?

You: generally that's how it works...

Your answer sounds like something Castro would say - No One Else Shall Run for Office, but the Party We Approve Of. Thanks for clearing that up.

"but the Ron Paul paullution runs deep, sadly. He is everything to everyone that feels left out because their views are too extreme for the mainstream,"

LOL! The answers here are so telling. So wanting to restore the constitution is "extreme." The desire for a president who isn't sold out is not what the "mainstream" wants. Wanting to restore our inalienable right and liberties is "fringe."

You got it backwards, dude. It's the regular people who are tired of phony politicians who are full of hot air, and continue to trample on our constitution, bill of rights and sovereignty. It's the regular people who don't want to see a future financial crisis because we're trillions in debt. It's the regular people who are tired of corruption and tired of Clintons and Bushes.

"That's why racist and neoconfederates sing along side the antiwar types and the druggies the praises of the Paul."

Your comment is so last month. We've gone over this many times, the vast majority of people who support Paul are people who want a return to the basics, the constitution, protecting our sovereignty and freedom and rights, and who don't like the direction the neocons or neolibs are taking us.

If there are a few people who would support Paul on one issue alone (the war) then that's their right, but they are foolish because if they are for socialism, they would be supporting someone who represents the opposite of what they want.

The bigger issue here, which you are completely ignoring is - Paul is clear about what he stands for, he has a long and consistent record, on most issues, he has been saying the same thing for years.

So the important thing is what does HE stand for, not what does every supporter of his believe in.

Liberty is a uniting message. Paul has stated numerous times that he believes in freedom, but not necessarily what everyone does with their freedom.

So it is ignorant to try to find the most distasteful supporters as a way to bash Paul - because what they believe is irrelevant to what Paul believes. He believes in the constitution, limited government, freedom, prosperity - all these things are what should matter, not what his supporters believe.

"In the paul all the lunatic fringe elements can come together to overthrow the present government or so they believe....."

LOL. I'm beginning to wonder why I'm wasting my time with this conversation. Not only is your post full of lame ad hominems, with very little substance, but you're obviously believing a distorted reality. I can see you haven't been around the Paul supporting forums and the people who support him. You have bought, hook line and sinker, the establishment MSM distortions that all his supporters are "fringe." I've been around Paul's supporters, the overwhelming majority are regular, decent people who simply want to restore our country to the constitution, and they don't like the direction we've been heading in.

"personally I can't wait until it all begins to unravel."

If by unravel you mean for it all to go away, good luck with your wish. This has turned into more than just a campaign, it has turned into a movement, not just here in the US, but all over the world. He has tapped into something that is not going to go away, even after RP has gone away. And I'm sorry to hear that on a 'conservative' forum, there are some who don't like his message of liberty, limited government, following the rule of law (the constitution), and the role of government - that our rights don't come from them, they are God-given and the government is supposed to protect them.
