I have no intention of voting for Mike Huckabee in the republican primary (FredHead here) but I have been FULLY on board with the tax proposal Huckabee is touting for YEARS now. Passage of the FairTax would represent the greatest transfer of power from Washington back to the people in the history of this nation!

You can read all about the proposal at the Americans for Fair Taxation website.

You are exactly right on this! Then, when the country is in economically down times, the government will be forced to spend the same way. This tax replacement is the best idea, period. And, if the mass public dislikes spending programs and other wastes that make it to where we need a 23% sales tax, then the people now will demand en masse to lower it and to stop the welfare programs. The fair tax is a win-win for our great nation.

The “Fair Tax” is a scam and will hurt anyone who makes up to about $80,000 per year - singles and young people the worst. I have only studied it for about 2 weeks and found several ways to beat it and screw the Government in the process. It is anything but “Fair”.

Besides you have a better chance of growing boobs on you back than this thing passing in the next 10 years.
