I’m NOT looking forward to somebody coming here by mistake at night, or otherwise. Everbody (5 people) have a high-cap center fire, semi-auto rifle next to the bed and they know which area to cover if we get up on account of things that go “bump”. A “stacked entry” would be an ugly and messy event. I hope this trend reverses, but until then we keep our methods and attitudes.

I have several motion sensor lights, some hard wired, some solar powered. I havn't done this yet, (keep meaning to), but I think some should be converted to a non-light alarm, that does a light or buzzer inside the house. If a real SWAT team or other armed gang gets to your front door unnoticed, there's going to be real trouble, no matter what.

I did this scenario fictionally in my first book, but the home owner had an advance warning and time to set up an ambush. In real life, the first indication is likely to be the "flash bang wake up" followed by a half dozen Sure-Fire gun lights in your face. Any move to reach for your bed gun at that point will most likely be your last.
