I have the greatest recipe for ham. Actually, it’s from the Good Eats show and may also be dependent upon getting an organic ham from Whole Foods. smother it with mustard, then dark brown sugar, then crushed ginger snaps. He has you spritz it with bourbon too but I don’t use alcohol in cooking.

Thanks! I think I saw that episode! I have yet to buy a ‘fresh’ ham. But the gingersnaps intrigued me, I like to use ginger or gingerale - and dark brown sugar, love the molasses! - in glazes for ham. I will be looking up that recipe. Mmmm. The nearest Whole Foods is quite a distance from me, but I will check for fresh ham the next time I go.
