Big talk for someone who spent her first five years in the Senate helping filibuster the Energy Policy Act. Renewables have been building out at a remarkable rate since 2001, but we could be four years further down the road on wind and solar — and a lot of other things as well — if the Senate dems hadn’t put partisan politics ahead of the national interest.

You agree with energy mandates? The market place should decide the proper mix of fuel and energy technologies. I am not against renewables or biofuel. Mandates will just lead to boondoggles. The Energy Policy Act of 2007 is a disaster. It is nothing more than a Soviet style central plan to dictate the development of a key element of our economy.

I challenge your assertion that the rats have prevented the development of renewable technologies. The rats are trying to force renewables down our throats. Many states have renewable mandates. These mandates will lead to much higher energy prices. The rats are stopping the construction of coal and nuclear plants. If renewables are so great, why are mandates needed?

The rats always put politics ahead of national interest. They are power-hungry, mad control freaks.
