There's MUCH more to this "story". The WaPo article is at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/12/08/AR2007120801526_pf.html.
A transcript of HRC's Selma speech is at http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2007/03/clintons_selma_speech_text.html

Mods: The title should be: When Did Hillary See Martin?
Can you fix?

A better question than “When did Hillary see Martin?” is “Did she ever see him at all?”

It would be interesting to see when and where MLK visited Chicago. Should be easy for an MLK biographer to catalog.
I figger about the time that Bill Clinton saw all them churches burning in Arkansas.
To: pjsbro
If Hillary was seeing Dean Martin, she probably was in Vegas, not Selma.

Typical Clinton tactic-treating black Americans like fools too stupid to understanding they are being played for fools.

Heck, I wonder how old Martin was in the early '60s?
To: pjsbro

I'm rushing to vote for the most religious candidate and the one who saw MLK the most.
Some of these people need to get serious.

Saw him! She and George Romney MARCHED with him!
And Mitt watched!

According to the Chicago Historical Society MLK first came to speak in 1964.
In 1966 King moved into a 'slum' apartment on the West Side. That summer is also when he led some marches into White neighborhoods for 'open housing'.

That was then and this is now Hillary..In the mean time when was it you started working for the commie party...Was it when you met or saw Martin which by the way some say was a commie too..

While looking up things on King I ran across this..Could it be that Hillary knew him from the commie friends they both knew..I never could understand why a person like King had a holiday named for him..
