Cathay Pacific.
My mistake. My comment should have been directed at patton who made the comment - you were only replying to his silly opinion about subjects he knows nothing about. But hey, don’t forget to wipe off your fingers from all of the Doritos and Ding Dongs, dude....
No prob.

How'd you know? Did I leave this damn webcam on again...??
This was long ago and we worked few DC10s but I recall the latch mechanism being mechanically engaged though the door itself was motorized and upward lifting. Course, I could be ‘membering wrong or they could have changed it.
Somebody didn’t cross-check and verify!
“1L-1R”
“2L-2R”
Well, that was an e-ticket. Ouch.
The cargo door opened in mid air during that flight from TPE-LAX. There were a giant sucking sound coming down from the cargo bin according to the passenger interview. It was probably a mistake on the ground vs in flight crew since it was the cargo door that opened. The pilot did what he could and flight attendants had crossed checked and verified. One of the flight attendant was in tears with a fresh reminder of disaster on flight 006 from TPE-HKG earlier. What is shocking was everyone was ushered back to the flight and no compensation nor apology was offered to its passengers. Would anyone care to up date on how much was offered to the affected? Thanks.
it was a mistake of the ground crew in the cargo department..Not the fault of the Flight attendant. China Airlines had one of the best flight attendants in the world and I do offered them respect and dignity for their job well done. CI had one of the highest rating from skytrax (london) based company who rate all the airlines in the world.
