Ramos, Compean pardons? 'No,' 'No,' says Bush rep
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | December 22, 2007

The White House apparently is so reluctant to discuss the issue of pardons or commutations for convicted U.S. Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean that a spokesman doesn't even want to allow questions about the issue to be finished.

The circumstances arose during a White House press gaggle with spokesman Tony Fratto, when Les Kinsolving, WND's correspondent at the White House, tried to raise the issue of the disparity in the treatment of the Border Patrol agents, compared to that given Scooter Libby, an aide to Vice President Dick Cheney who was convicted of lying during an investigation into the outing of the identity of a covert U.S. agent.

The agents were convicted and given prison sentences of 11 and 12 years for shooting after a self-confessed drug smuggler fleeing back into Mexico after leaving 750 pounds of marijuana in Texas, while Libby was excused from serving any of his prison sentence through President Bush's intervention.

The White House repeatedly has said there is a pardons request procedure available to the agents, even though Libby apparently did not go through the same process before Bush acted.

"A number of times here, when questions were raised about former U.S. Border Patrol agents Ramos and Compean, we were told that there is a process for pardon. And I have a three-part question on this…" Kinsolving began.

"You have to make it quick, because they're calling for me," Fratto said.

"I will. Could you explain to us why the president refuses to commute these men who shot an escaping Mexican drug smuggler…" Kinsolving continued.

"No," interrupted Fratto.

"…as the president commuted the prison sentence of his friend, Scooter Libby," Kinsolving asked.

"No," Fratto responded.

Talking to Andrew is like talking to a rock. Talking to you is slightly less diffucult, like maybe talking to limestone.

Why do you feel the need to throw around insults every time you can't support your arguments? You look more juvenile every day.

To me, it looks more like 8-10 feet.

And who is taller in the following picture? The guy with the yellow vest or the guy whose head he appears to be holding?

How about this one? Is the painter longer in length than Norway and Sweden on the drawn globe?

Here is a hint.

Also, in the above picture, what is the angle the wall makes on the right of the picture? The lamppost is on that corner.

The point of those exaggerated pictures is that you cannot reliably tell distances or sizes from a two dimensional picture. You can tell distances by measuring them. I did that.

Plugging this number into the calculations and using Pythagoras, the height of the ditch from the water is more like 13 feet or so. Seeing as how the depth of the water changes, this is consistent with trial testimony.

You mentioned Pythagoras in the post you pulled. Quite simply you are lost since Pythagoras verifies my trig calculations. Pythagoras theorem is a² + b² = c² for a right triangle. Or stated, the square of the Hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides of a right triangle. To wit.

Hypotenuse = 17 feet
vertical side = 16.045592058222295907314040186006 feet
horizontal side = 5.6159572203778035675599140651022 feet

289 = 257.46102449888641425389755011136 + 31.538975501113585746102449888641
I won't do the other triangle. I will leave that to you. You can also add the two numbers in the above result to confirm that they sum to 289 (or pretty damn close).

Andrew adjusts his measurements to make them fit his preconceived notions and this proves it.

As I have demonstrated, your "proof" is POOF! You essentially call me dishonest, based upon your mistaken analysis of a picture that I took. Well you are wrong. I also measured the height by time of fall and it verified my measurement. 21.15 feet minus the height of my shoulder results in 16.15 feet above the water. This validates the 16.04 foot measurement. Did you notice that the vertical measurements of the tangents were in multiples of 10? I can tell you why. It is easy to spot 10 and twenty on a yardstick. Did you notice that the 10 inch measurement goes with the 34 inch measurement? That was the measurement of the angle the rope made when thrown across the ditch. Due to the steep nature of the ditch sides, 34 inches was as far from the lip that I wanted to go(the rope was hanging above the near slope so I had to keep the measurement within the length of my yardstick), and I slipped at that distance. Why do you suppose Juarez slipped to the middle of the ditch(hint: it was steep). The 20 inch measurement goes with the slope measurement and I only had to go out 7 inches to get that. You probably do not understand a thing about how to measure, but others will.

Finally a truck tire is close to 30 inches. Look at the picture containing the tire and remember perspective.

Or are you just here to try to justify whatever little Johnny Sutton and his lynch-mob says as gospel, argue with everyone who exposes his lies, and post juvenile pictures and whine about conspiracies when you can't back up your arguments? (Don't bother answering that--there are hundreds of posts already demonstrating your (cough) contribution.)

You can tell Bob, but you can't tell him much. He's just a useful idiot to whatever flag he's told to salute by the current administration.

You drive across several states to Fabens to measure the ditch and you end up throwing bags of rocks tied to a rope and tossing stones to time their drop.

Lord.

Why didn’t you just walk up and down the slope and use a tape measure? Why didn’t you take a protractor to accurately measure the slope angles? Why didn’t bring a pair of waders to get a measurement of the stream and it’s depth?

Bags of rocks and a stop watch. Unbelieveable.

Who is supposed to take you seriously?

Why didn’t you just walk up and down the slope and use a tape measure?

Because, you idiot, the ditch is deep and the slope is 70 degrees. There is a smelly stream of water at the bottom and I had no desire at any chance of falling in. I slipped at the top for a few inches as it was. In any case had I used micrometers and the French meter standard and done what you stated, you would still have faulted the measurement.

P.S. We have not gone to the Sun but we know how far away it is.

P.P.S. I did not drive across several states, I live in Texas. Also, I am not sure where Federal Territory and State territory ends at that location. It had no signs posted.

If you had any sense, you would have read that I initially reached the location at dusk. I stated that the ditch was awesome. Later prior to my return home, I prepared the method of measurement considering all of the factors I have mentioned.

I have a surprise later for you. Bide your time.
