Some "best of" and canned stuff, plus Joe Lieberman, Ron Paul, Rudy, Obama, The Huckster, a sober Kennedy, the real Man of the Year, the founder of the volunteer organization that's been putting wreaths on veteran's headstones at Christmas time for over 15 years and a "Christian" uber-mega church pastor who thinks it's all about him (check out the front page of the web site for "his ministries" - his name is there 8 times and there are 9 pictures of his smiling face... but the name Jesus and the words "Christ" and "Christian" are nowhere to be seen).
First the completed Saturday shows followed by the raw version of the Sunday shows. I'll fill in more on the guests on each show as I have the last couple of weeks.
Merry Christmas to everyone
Show by Show Preview - The Saturday Shows For 12/22/07
Below are the topics and guests announced for the Saturday programs (the Weekend news ghetto's ghetto), along with my take on the "memes" that the shows are likely trying to push.
The Beltway Boys (Mort Kondrake, Fred Barnes)
- Meme:
- Hmmmm. The "do nothing Congress" and "Hillary the loser." How original
- Topics:
- A look at the work (or lack thereof - P) of Congress in 2007 with the Democrats in "control" (sure they are)
- Hillary Clinton is down in polls. Find out what she's doing to improve her image
- Beltway Boys contact information beltway@foxnews.com
- The program airs on FOX News Channel Saturdays at 2 and 11:30 p.m., Sunday 6:30 a.m. ET
Tim Russert's Show On MSNBC (Tim Russert)
- Meme:
- no listing - How original
- Topics:
- no listing (web page still has info for December 10th show)
- Guests
- CNBC's Tim Russert Show airs Saturday at noon ET
Fox News Watch (Eric Burns)
- Meme:
- The Huckabee "Merry Christmas" ad - sure the "bookshelves" looking like a floating cross was just an accident. Of course it was. Is there something in the water in all of Arkansas or is it just something in the Governor's mansion?
- "Hillary the loser." How original
- Topics:
- Christmas and the Candidates: Media coverage of Mike Huckabee's 'Merry Christmas' political ad
- Are the press picking on Hillary for looking 'old'?
- The program airs on FOX News Channel Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. ET
- Fox News Watch contact information Newswatch@foxnews.com
Journal Editorial Report (Paul Gigot) - FNC show page
- Meme:
- Everyone old is new again... meet the once and future front runner: John McCain, now with a little Joementum
- Do you think the Democrat's will let Joe back into the party? Do you think he'll jump after the Christmas recess (which isn't a recess again)?
- Hollywood writers are striking? Who knew? I did notice the shows were getting a little better. Now I know why.
- Topics:
- Opinion Journal web page: Cup of Joe
- An interview with Sen. Joe Lieberman on Iraq, Iran and John McCain
- The wide-open GOP Presidential race
- Will anyone care if the Hollywood writers never go back to work?
- Fox News Channel web page

Why? The Paulbots may blind themselves to the fact that there is nothing of substance in Paul’s campaign but most voters are not fooled by Paul’s slogans and demagoguery. He can go on 1000 of these shows and it will do him no good until he actually puts together a serious substantive agenda to run on. So far Paul has offered nothing beyond slogans and sound bites. Hearing endless demagoguery on their personal hot button issue may make the Paulbots hearts beat faster, but that style of campaign will move very few uncommitted voters to Paul’s side.

And maybe all the rest of us girls as it just aint fair that men age so much better than we do.), Thanks for taking the time to do the awards. Excellent comments all!
I find it so funny that when "evolution" includes little details such as men retaining attractiveness during their peak providing years, (can we say Alpha Male), it is resented by many, instead of just recognized as a fact of nature - or should I say "natural selection."
