Yes, Rush is in an awkward position.

All of the other high powered conservatives have chosen Rudy or Mitt.

Rush knows both of them are disasters.

If he chooses the one true conservative, Duncan Hunter, he will alienate the people he knows and respects, like William F. Buckley and Bill Bennett.

Rush is not in an awkward position, he has said repeatedly that he does not make his choice of the candidates known before the primary. I wish he would but he never does. He always supports the chosen Republican. Do you even listen to Rush?
