If he were the nominee, the MSM would beat him to a pulp with that. McLame has been paying for that deed by restricting givers because he is too week to restrain himself from his avarice.

He should have man'd-up and resigned then. That he held on was rather ... clintonian.

Yep it was shocking how the Keating Five all pretty much skated. And you are correct the MSM has had that to keep him in line from that point on.

But all the senators allow lobbyists to come in an pitch their ideas, Boeing, the agriculture groups, defense industry,. and if it resonates with the senators home state, whats the big deal if it helps that state? It happens all the time. The issue is if that senator personally unduly enriches himself, like Duke Cunningham. Are we saying that McCain’s issues with lobbyists have resulted in him gaining some bucks from it?
