ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI-myFOXstl.com) -- Late Wednesday night, former New York governor and Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani went to Barnes-Jewish hospital after feeling ill.
Giuliani had traveled across Missouri Wednesday by car after mechanical problems on his aircraft left him without a plane for his stumping.
The statement from the Giuliani campaign reads:
"ST. LOUIS - Rudy Giuliani Communications Director Katie Levinson released the following statement this morning:
Earlier today, Mayor Giuliani experienced flu-like symptoms campaigning in Missouri. The symptoms worsened as the day wore on and shortly after taking off from Chesterfield, Missouri for New York the Mayor became uncomfortable enough that our plane returned to the airport in Chesterfield. To be on the safe side, the Mayor consulted with his personal physician in New York and made the decision to go to the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis for routine tests.
"The Mayor will spend the night in St. Louis and we will provide another update in the morning."
You've always made me laugh, pissant, and I haven't posted much (much should read: at all) on any political website since the purge last spring, though occasionally I'll read. Sorry to say I've been carried away by the dark side and only stop working at my job to check out celebrity gossip sites, Lord help me. LOL!.
All I can say is, once again, you've demonstrated the character that FReepers (and Conservatives in general) have.
God bless you and your family and Merry Christmas.
And to all FReepers as well. :)
btw, when I said “dark side” I meant “Hollywood gossip trash.” :)
Another Rudy supporter here!
Now Rudy is being compared to Hitler and Stalin here?
I guess its official, FR has officially degenerated into DU level stupidity and ignorance. Congratulations!!!
Look. If it wasnt for the fact that hes pulled this stunt before I may have a shred of compassion for the guy.
.....
He pulled the exact same thing in 2000 against Hillary, only that time it was prostate cancer.
Incredible. You're not actually suggesting that Rudy tried to get one over on everyone by purposely getting prostate cancer, are you? Because if you are, and if many of the other posters on this thread are serious about what they have said here, then my view of FR as a place for sane and honest debate is gone.
I have to completely agree with an earlier poster who pointed out that the so called evangelical values voters don't seem to have a problem spewing all sorts of garbage about people who aren't in lock step with their holier than thou ideals. Once again, this kind of attitude something I would have expected from DU leftists, but not here.
No, he used his prostate cancer, which was fairly easily treated without incident, as an excuse to bail on the campaign and the state GOP.
And I am not an evangelical. I think evangelicals are self-contradictory in their faith with their insistence on moral values and at the same time believing that morals are irrelevant to salvation.
Compared to evangelicals, I am pretty much a compassionless jerk.
“He pulled the exact same thing in 2000 against Hillary, only that time it was prostate cancer.”
You have had prostate cancer? Tell us about it.
“Weenie. Ive never gone to a hospital because of flu-like symptoms I just tough it out. Like a man.”
You are so naive as to think his campaign simply told the truth about his symptoms, in great detail, given the fact he is one of several possible serious contenders to be the next president of the country? Have you thought through your viewpoint in any detail, ‘like a man?’
I have no idea why he turned his plane around, but I certainly don’t believe his campaign’s comments on the issue, and hope most freepers have the brains to realize his own campaign will try creative ice product vendoring before admitting what real symptoms the guy had.
“No, he used his prostate cancer, which was fairly easily treated without incident, as an excuse to bail on the campaign and the state GOP.”
For those who are still reading, the poster is clueless about what treatment for prostate cancer actually entails. I guess it is just sort of something you ‘treat’ and go on without incident.
“He pulled the exact same thing in 2000 against Hillary, only that time it was prostate cancer.
You have had prostate cancer? Tell us about it.”
I do amplify the above, I am looking forward to hearing from you as a prostate cancer survivor.
Frankly, I don't care about Giuliani... not voting for him in any election...
Secondly, Hitlery or Giussolini are the same to me.
I'm an atheist and I am certainly not "in lockstep" with the Gaystapo...
Giuliani can go to hell for all I care, I'm not interested in saving his soul...
We should form a club...
Heh, heh. One of my all-time fave movies.
Now THAT's funny!
<< I think im the only FR supporter you have! so a single prayer going up! >>
Make that two prayers. And a Hail Mary!
