42 watt CFLs are extreme overkill. I use 13 watt in most of my light fixtures and the light output after 20 seconds of being on is near identical to a 60 or 75 watt regular bulb. 42 watt CFLs are equiv to around 200 watt lightning, which 99% of homes do not need (although I’ll admit many do).
