Marysville Journal Tribune (Marysville, Ohio), Feb 2, 1979, "Can Stand Trial" :
"Akron, Ohio (AP) — US District Judge Leroy Contie Jr ruled today that the [sic] Perry Kucinich, the youngest brother of Cleveland Mayor Dennis Kucinich, is not now competent to stand trial on a federal bank robbery charge. Contie ordered the 23-year-old to be committed indefinitely to a federal mental treatment facility at Springfield, Mo, but granted a 30-day delay to allow the defense lawyer to see if treatment could be arranged in Ohio."

Time Magazine, "Stickup Surge", Jan 15, 1979 :

"While Mayor Dennis Kucinich was withdrawing his personal savings from a local bank in protest because it demanded payment on its loans to the city, his brother Perry was making a far less publicized withdrawal at another Cleveland bank last month until he was caught and charged with bank robbery."
