~~~snip~~~
This couple (they didn't want to be named, and so I'll call them Mr. and Mrs. Dubuque), were typical of the Democrats I talked to across the Hawkeye State last week. They were generally happy with all three of their party's front runners and determined to beat the Republicans. Mr. Dubuque had settled on Obama, but his wife was undecided, between Obama and John Edwards.
They weren't Clinton haters -- both of them liked her Senate record and would be happy to support her in November -- but it was clear to them Shaheen's comments, while couched as a fear of Republican dirty tricks, were a smear, and one typical of Hillary. The idea that she wasn't at all behind it was not credible to them.
Before I brought up Shaheen's comments, Mrs. Dubuque said she wouldn't caucus for Clinton. "Hillary's more of the same-old," she told me. "Everything's so ugly in Washington. We need a change, and I don't think Hillary is it." ~~~snip~~~
....yeah because all her “plants” are moving to NH
Maybe she’ll go out with a scream.
I hope so. I really hope the Dems are stupid enough to nominate Obama. In all my life, I’ve never heard such a vapid politician who just recycles old platitudes and empty rhetoric. Simply running a black guy because he is black isn’t enough to win.
Matt Drudge just killed the hildebeast campaign the other day, it’s over. Pubbies should be planning to campaign against Obama.
On Fox and Friends this morning, they were discussing the fact that at a meeting in Iowa yesterday, Hillary was asked by a lady in the audience if she was a Christian. Hillary, of course, answered that in the affirmative.
Later, it was revealed that questioner was Hillary’s old Sunday School teacher...who lives in Illinois. And she just happened to be in Iowa and have with her a picture of Hillary as a girl in her Sunday School class. Hillary’s staff denied this woman was a “plant,” of course.
Honestly, you can’t make this stuff up. Whoever is running Hillary’s campaign must be paid by Obama.
The sad thing is that it is enough with a percentage of their constituents. Ditto for a woman(ahem)with no experience.
The only reason she will lose in Iowa is because she plans to.
Hillary must show she can come back from adversity and be able to rally her troops to victory.
It’s all staged. Hillary will get the nomination. To think otherwise is wishful thinking.
All these Democrat candidates use such flowery speech while all the sheeple cheer. They say nothing but gullible Democrats love it.
Do you mean that photo of her looking ancient?
Why would Iowans know anything about her Senate record? New Yorkers don't even know what it is, because it's so scanty.
I'm beginning to smell the stench of "lowered expectations". With all of this reporting that she is dead in the water, losing by only 5% will give her a lot of steam.
It's all about expectations and the Clinton's manage them better than anyone.
It’s a shorter commute to bus ‘voters’ from the People’s Republic of Massachusetts to NH for the primary than it is to get them to Iowa for the cauci.
My state has been overrun by moonbats, turning it into a blue state. I still can’t quite believe it.
