I can’t believe the latent anti Christian bigotry thats been exposed by a bookshelf in the background. The fact is, there would have not been a damn thing wrong with it if it HAD have been a cross.

A real cross would have been find. The subliminal cross, from a candidate running as a "Christian leader" does grate on some people.

Exactly. That's the point. It's not the cross. Moreover, it's the denial that it was intentional that is disturbing in a presidential candidate. To imagine that a production crew wouldn't notice it? Pfft. Every nuance and detail is planned. It's what they do for a living. They don't just point their cell phone cams and call it a wrap.
