I may be in the minority here, but I am strongly in favor of “Safe Haven” laws. It at least gives the baby a chance to be placed in a good, loving home, rather than left outside in a dumpster for dead.

I don't think you are in the minority. I think like myself, most would think of those laws with revulsion and speak of them with disgust ONLY because we see the necessity and it turns our stomach. The idea that we need those laws at all is revolting. That you have to tell people not to murder their children and then go out of your way to give them an option besides execution by exposure to the elements. The fact that we have to do that makes me sick. But no, I don't condemn the laws themselves. They save lives. Really it was the efforts of the Church in the 'middle ages' that changed the prevalence of this practice to adoption and orphanages. So this is a backslide from Christian principles.
