From the Omnibus bill:

. “(A) REINFORCED FENCING.-In carrying
out subsection (a), the Secretary of Homeland
Security shall construct reinforced fencing
along not less than 700 miles of the southwest
border where fencing would be most practical
. and effective and provide for the installation of
additional physical barriers, roads, lighting,
cameras, and sensors to gain operational control
of the southwest border.”

“(D) LIMITATION ON REQUIREMENTS.Notwithstanding
subparagraph (A), nothing in
this paragraph shall require the Secretary of
Homeland Security to install fencing, physical
barriers, roads, lighting, cameras, and sensors
in a particular location along an international
border of the United States, if the Secretary determines
that the use or placement of such resources
is not the most appropriate means to
achieve and maintain operational control over
the international border at such location.”; and

From Hutchinson’s website:

“Sen. Hutchison has supported efforts to increase funding for personnel, technology, and equipment to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Senate recently passed H.R. 2638, the DHS Appropriations bill, which provides additional resources to DHS and includes her amendment, #2466, providing DHS the flexibility they need to ensure that local border patrol sector chiefs and community leaders are working together on border issues.”

Apparently the omnibus bill has already passed. This lies and maneuvering of these low life’s is amazing. They have no shame.

Throughout the amnesty/immigration debates, Hutchinson was mealy mouthing, usually voting for security, but introducing amendments and making speeches that showed she really didn’t want meaningful border enforcement.

“Apparently the omnibus bill has already passed.”

Or maybe not. I think it’s in the House/Senate conference committee.

Hon. Sen. Hutchison:
I would like to register my disgust upon learning that you attached S.Amdt. 2466 to the recent appropriations bill which effectively gutted the construction of a border fence.
Just what is is about ILLEGAL immigration that you and your fellow congressmen don’t comprehend? It is the responsibility of the federal government to defend our borders and nation against all enemies foreign and domestic. The assault on our nation by illegal immigrants is beyond discussion. The costs borne by taxpayers to support this subversion of our nation’s soverneignty is unsustainable. How many hospitals have to close or cut out necessary services as they struggle to remain financially solvent due to uncompensated care mandated by the federal government on behalf of those who openly violate our laws. In Dallas alone, a tremendous proportion of births are to illegal foreigners - playing the “have a baby in the US lotto” - and they are winning because they do not pay for this care, the taxpayers of Dallas county do, and they leave with a ticket to stay in the US with their newly created US citizen.
Crimes committed by illegals leave victims in misery or worse, and place a tremendous strain on our prison and legal system.
No other country would allow those who violate their laws to benefit from their lawbreaking as you and your collegues in Washington allow.
The citizens of Texas are fed up with attitudes such as you displayed with this attachment, and will not forget your support for illegals at the expense of law abiding residents. I suspect and sincerely hope that any aspirations you had for the governorship of Texas will be forever dashed by such disregard for the concerns and desires of voting Texans!

I’m not holding my breath waiting for a response...but will probably get a stock ... thank you for your concern BS template response as always.... this voter will never support her or others who so blatantly disregard the will of the governed!
