I can't wait to see how the Romneyites contradict DIRECT QUOTES.

I always thought his explanation about stem cell research as the basis to be ridiculous.

So he is ok with destroying embryos but he is against abortion because the notion of destroying embryos made him value life more. Um ok.

I disagree with him, but it’s the same position currently taken by President Bush on the issue.

And I don’t agree with Bush’s position either.

“”I do. I believe, I believe from a, from a, a political perspective that life begins at conception. I, I don’t, I don’t pretend to know, if you will, from a theological standpoint when life begins,” he explained.”

I feel your leadership man, awesome!

He’s another Clinton, EVERYTHING he does is based on the most recent polling. It only worked for Clinton because his base knew that no matter what he said, in the end he would be with them.

"I do. I believe, I believe from a, from a, a political perspective that life begins at conception. I, I don't, I don't pretend to know, if you will, from a theological standpoint when life begins," he explained.

What a great and inspiring speaker.

TRANSLATION:

Politically, I have to say I'm pro-life. For crying out loud, this is the Republican primary!

As far as my theological or philosophical beliefs, though, I have no clue and don't really care.

It was a rhetorical statement. Last week I offered a transcript from when he first said that he was okay with destroying embryos and they STILL denied it.

And in the back of his mind he's thinking:

"Why did Rudy's numbers have to drop so soon? It used to be the conservatives only questioned him on pro-life issues."

Well they have deluded themselves into thinking he is a conservative, so reality is not their strong suit...

Flash back to 1994 and 2002, and you’ll see a very different candidate. He supported the so-called “morning after” pill. Invoking his trailblazing mother, Romney made an ironclad commitment to Roe v. Wade.

Or ask him to explain why Massachusetts is the ONLY state which has homosexual marriage.

If he were to win the nomination, I imagine his pronouncements would become even more liberal.

But he remembers where he was, that fateful day in 1978 that his church decided to end racism.

Nixon was President, and he pulled his car over on that road in Cambodia to cry...Seared, seared into his memory. Flip Flop Flip Flop...

Just to stir the pot a bit...

“(Fred)Thompson went on to suggest he’s not concerned by the topsy-turvy nature of the Republican presidential race. “I am not willing to mold myself to the circumstances and I understand I’m not everybody’s cup of tea but what you see is what you get”

Whether you like Fred or not, he does not bend his positions to the polls.
