Funny how the ACLU doesn’t care about this sort of blatant promotion of religion by government.
Wonder what would happen if a Christian woman went in there to read her Bible? Would she be harassed by a “Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice” squad?
I wonder if anyone other than me has the feeling the Global Warming/Climate Change is the smoke screen to keep you from seeing this encroaching evil in our lives. If this were a Christian, Jewish, Buddhist etc. prayer room, the ACLU would be all over it. Why aren’t they?
Good thing I don’t attend Normandale Community College. I tend to make trouble when there’s something blatantly wrong going on.
Does the ACLU have a monopoly on first amendment lawsuits? Why doesn’t a conservative group file suit against the university? Why don’t conservative student groups picket this place until they shut it down or correct their policy?
A row of chest-high barriers splits the room into sex-segregated sections. In the smaller, enclosed area for women sits a pile of head-coverings. Literature titled "Hijaab and Modesty" was prominently placed there, instructing women on proper Islamic behavior. "They should cover their faces and stay at home," it said, and their speech should not "be such that it is heard." ...The Jews and the Christians are described as "the enemies of Allah's religion."
On the other hand, they are washing their feet in the toilets!!! That Ralph Anderson fellow needs to escorted off the property.
Bump to follow this one. This would be national news had a community college did this for Christians or Jews.
Ping.

The ACLU must be taking time off to celebrate the winter break holidays. Surely they would not condone this segregated prayer room on a public school campus.
if the alleged literature found there is true, most certainly it is a “hate crime”.

I’m sure this will be a “hate crime”, right??
Since conservatives are a minority on college campuses.
UPDATE: Though no media outlet in the Twin cities will report this story on their web pages or in print....I’ve heard on two different local radio outlets today that the ACLU (yes, the ACLU) has said that if Normandale Community College doesn’t get this sorted, right now, they will sue...
(Cue the flying pigs....)
