You shouldn’t take all the credit because it isn’t your to take. The AMERICAN MEN that were there deserve the credit. Whether you were 20 or 40 doesn’t make a damn bit of difference. But when I read a post that completely strips away a duty that was bravely taken on by my husband and other his age, it pisses me off. NOTE: Pissed off. . . not whining.
Your husband should get credit as an individual. It's all about individuals, not generations. But my point is that the idea of individual responsibility and credit is just as valid of a concept when it comes to some people's bad habit of laying guilt on the whole "boomer generation" for the sins of some.
