It seems to me that anyone who is solidly grounded in their Faith will not have the time or inclination to obsess about what other churches are teaching or practicing.

Yes, absolutely- the height of Christian maturity is 24/7 navel-gazing. "I got mine, screw everyone else!" I think that's in the Bible, anyway...

On the other hand, if you look at the authentic Christian Gospel as the only cure for a fatal disease, then you have a sense of urgency to speak of this cure to people suffering from this disease; even people that wrongly think they have another cure. To keep knowledge of this cure to yourself becomes shameful.

I can’t disagree with you. This all started, as you know, last week with Gov. Huckabee’s condemnation, actually printed Sunday, of Mormons and by inference of Gov. Romney.

When Christians of varying denominations debate religion they argue from a subjective point of view. An individual’s belief system defines his personal reality. When this reality is attacked the response is often passionate and even violent. This belief system is constructed, in part, of myriad positive and negative experiences.

If one is serious about transmitting the Gospel it begins with positive interactions with those one desires to save. In a word: Love.

Faith without works is dead.
