If they strike a NATO country we are obligated by treaty to respond.
When Iran strikes us with a nuke missle it will lauched just off shore from a ship.

You can count on it. They do not need the longer range missile systems they are testing to reach Israel, Israel is right next door. Remeber they call the USA the Great Satan and Israel the little Satan.
Iran also does not need that many reactors of all the types they are building for power, they sit on free oil. They need them to manufacture H-Bombs, many many H-Bombs.
In a country that worships suicide bombers, A nuclear suicide attack is only logical. So I would suspect given enough time, Iran will one day in a first strike kill more Americans in American cities than Iranians exist on planet earth. After all, their religion sets that as their highest goal.
