Thompson Pounces

Hard to conjure up that image but it's true. Thomspon sends out an e-mail blast taking issue with Romney's statement today on MTP that "every piece of legislation which came to my desk in the coming years as a Governor, I came down on the side of preserving the sanctity of life." The "fact check" includes this:

"Romney's health care legislation provides taxpayer-funded abortions for a co-pay of just $50. Romney vetoed EIGHT provisions in his health care bill that he deemed objectionable, including the expansion of dental benefits to Medicaid recipients. He did not veto Planned Parenthoods' guaranteed position on the Advisory Board or ensure that abortions were covered only in medically necessary situations (as required by MA court ruling). All abortions are covered in the Commonwealth Care program with no medically necessary limitation. Under the program, abortions are available for a copay of $50...

Romney included in his health care legislation a guarantee that Planned Parenthood would have a representative on his MassHealth Payment Policy Advisory Board. No such provision was included for a pro-life representative. ...

Romney forced private Catholic hospitals to provide the morning-after-pill, a position applauded by Democrats and pro-abortions groups. .."

And why, exactly, he bragged about that to the Tennesseans for Choice - a pro-abortion group - in a candidate questionnaire?

Didn't happen.

Did.

It’s not bragging. The form says “other” followed by a space for explanation. He checked the box and filled in the explanation.

You lie as brazenly as Slick Willard.

I commend Willard for his frimness.

Willard isn't frim... he's turgid.

There is no personal walk with Jesus

Very true of most Mormons. In fact, LDS Church leaders have strongly discouraged "having a personal relationship" with Christ. I guess they're afraid that those members might realize that Jesus is all they really need.

The fastest flipflop in history happened in Iowa when Willard raised his hand then pulled it back down and said “I’m with him,” referring to Fred.

LOL So I wasn't the only one who noticed that? Man, what a leader that Mitt is! Way to follow Fred, Mitt!

So what he commend Fred for his stance that is more than any of the others did!

He clap his hands and pointed to Fred as if to say well done!

But most of you are so bankrupt you would never be able to be gracious enough to bestow that!

I am pround of Mitt for being able to be frim and show a warm courtesy!

That is something nothing of you Fredheads seem to be capable of!

The only reason you are backing Mitt is because he's LDS. If he wasn't, you wouldn't like him any better than the Huckster. He's a pandering flip-flopper. He did more than just "show courtesy". He pulled his hand down and tried to make Romney's position his own. You certainly did not see Fred looking around trying to find someone to copy. Fred is his own man. Mitt doesn't even know who he is or what he believes.

That's misuse and abuse of government. It's crappy on pretty much every level, from moral to private rights to fiscal. If it's true, it illustrates a core philosophy regarding the unlimited use of government that tells me all I need to know to reject Romney.

A most valuable trait in a leader:

Why should Fred have spent the time to initiate any pro-life legislation when he knew it wasn’t going to be passed? .... Why waste his, and every other Senator’s time? It may have made pro-lifers feel good, but that’s about how effective it would have been. From what I can tell, Fred’s not a panderer, and we won’t be spending his time on things that won’t have any effect at all, just to make a few more people think better of him.

One other question, oh great Spiffster.

Why do you care?

I ask because according to you, Fred is toast, if I read several of you other posts correctly...

Oh, gosh and by golly, does that mean you could be wrong!

Oh my...

HAHAHAHA!!!

I have seen that more that a few times...

Pony up and list the lead in question...

“In order to minimize unplanned pregnancy, I support:"

And then he lists the selection:

“other: I have voted to provide funding for Tittle X family planning programs”

He lists that under PREVENTING PREGNACY...

Not only is that not a brag, it is not solely about abortion!

Lame Spiff, very lame, an disappointing, in your day you were better than this.

I know your guy has issues in this department, but you are projecting.
