Russert is hitting a new low in his interview with Mitt(he appears to be reading straight from a DNC memo to him).

Mitt just wiped the floor with him re his answer to Mormons excluded blacks. The more I see of Mitt the more I like him.

Russert is a blatant fraud and I really am not going to watch the rest of his intended crucifixion of Romney, it's just utterly uncalled for.

Can't disagree, Rodguy about, Russert's "attempts" to tar Mitt on his religion, but he failed on every count in my opinion. It's like Rush says about a great caller that makes the host look good. Russert's questions were deftly and sincerely answered.

For example, Russert wanted to know how Mitt could accept Bob Jones endorsement, when Jones has called Mormonism a "cult". Mitt says all religions compete for hearts and souls, but despite his disagreements Jones thinks Mitt still be the best President. Mitt perfectly turned negatives into positives. Russert may in fact rue his questions because of the classy way Mitt answered them.

For some reason, Russert didn't typically try to shut Mitt down when Mitt properly reframed Russert's misleading questions. I don't know if it's Mitt's commanding presence that made Russert cower ?, but I thought Mitt shone.

Mitt should have said to Russert. “Tim you are Catholic and yet your Church does not allow women to be Priests.” That would put a stop to it.
