If we can nationalize the 'Murtha take down election'......

The FReeper community should put this on 'project status' and make sure that Murtha is Swift-BOOTed out of office. I went to a wreath ceremony at a Vets cemetery yesterday and the honor, dignity, respect, & character that I saw in those Vets and they way they treated the memories of their 'band of brothers' who are no longer with us or MIA was a direct & damning contrast to Murtha. I'll gladly pitch in what little resources I have to BOOT (combat boots please, Mr. Russell!) Murtha back to the swamp from which he oozed.

Actually, nobody who craved the Presidency has ever won it.

Bill Clinton.

“Watch the video of Fred Thompson’s “I’m Not Doing Hand Shows” moment at the Iowa debate last week. Fred Thompson was the alpha. Huckabee, Romney and Giuliani saw Fred take the lead and instantly fell in line. Mitt Romney almost lost his balance he was so eager to follow Fred Thompson.”

I think our candidates are scared to death to talk about immigration/border,they all treat it like walking on eggs.

Lacks the fire in the belly,

Wow, that's original. I've never heard that before. SIGH.

You clearly haven't been paying attention lately, have you. Even your boy Willard copied Fred in Iowa.

“lol i watched it live and thought thompson had fire in his belly for the first time.”

I heard the word “firebrand” used.

I think people are beginning to think about the difference between style and substance, realizing that substance is the most important.

Fred Thompson clearly has more substance than Romney, Huckabee or Giuliani.

Today, Mitt said he governed the same way Reagan did.

I think not. His words are those of convenience.

"Americans do not respect believers of convenience.
Americans tire of those who would jettison their beliefs, even to gain the world.
"

Honestly, I will have to watch it again, but I believe they were talking about embryonic stemcells and abortion. Russert was brining up the the fact that he ran as a pro-choice candidate, but then governed pro-life. I believe Mitt then said, “I governed the same way Reagan did as governor.” Mitt then quickly got off the topic of Reagan.

You said, “Thompson’s answer on immigration today wasn’t that impressive either.” What does that have to do with Romney’s response on stem cell research?
