I’m watching MTP now...and while I want to reach through the screen and slap Timmy black and blue (religion, religion, religion)——Mitt’s coming across intelligent, measured and quite likable.
Best moment; the tears in his eyes recalling the news in '76 that Mormons had dropped their prejudice against blacks. Coupled with his civil rights history --and his father's--this exchange was as sincere as any I've ever seen from a politiciam. He said he was driving when he heard the news report, pulled off the road and wept. No acting, imho.
Ain’t going to be easy, that’s for sure. Shieffer just wrapped it up with Fred after a seven minute interview. Incredible.
Thats it for the Thompson interview?
What a real let down...
“Miami is now the capital of the third world and where Spanish is the main language”
i live in Miami.............and no i’m not latin.............the problem here isnt on the hispanic side, the Cubans that are here are not like the mexicans. its the Haitian illegals that is the problem.
See y’all later, off to church now.
“It was Russerts worst sell out to date and really angered me.”
If I was Mitt, I would have pulled a Sarkozy. First, I would have warned Fat Tim, “One more question on religion and the interview is over.” If Fat Tim uttered another word about religion, I would have taken the mic off and walked out of the studio.
Another reason why Mitt just went way up the scale for me,he is the real thing nothing phony there at all.

Now its Edwards!
See-BS living up to its name.
Elizabeth Edwards scares ME, and I’m a pretty tough cookie.
or worse!
I prefer Thompson/Thune.
I think John Thune is going to be a star in the Republican party in the future.
My pleasure, bray.
Well, Timmy’s wrapped up the religion segment....onto abortion.
The most interesting thing about the baseball stuff to me is the question of what people can and can’t do to make themselves better.
Are these drugs illegal? Or just illegal for baseball?
I think strict watch should be taken over high school and even college athletes as this stuff may well be harmful.
But if it isn’t illegal and one is over 21 and a pro athlete?
Maybe it’s bad for you, but supposedly smoking is also and it’s not illegal (although watch out if we get Huckabee)
I mean, what is unfair advantage really? Tony Romo is reputed to have spent the hours before last week’s game in the locker room reading the play book. What if Donovan McNabb did not do that? Did Tony take an unfair advantage.
To me these are interesting moral concepts, not just about who did and who didn’t.
Get back to me if you believe this.

“I want to know how they are doing these polls that run counter to everything I am seeing and hearing.”
Could it be that we’re all getting exactly the same veracity and objectivity out of the DBM and their pet pollsters on the subject of this election campaign that we’ve been getting on WOT, Bush, Conservatives, Global Warming, Iraq....etc?
IMHO, the DBM hasn’t been much for the past thirty years but an PERFECT NEGATIVE BAROMETER: If the DBM promotes or supports it, it’s national poison.
Two wild guesses where that puts Huck in my scorecard.
LOL. Anyone who makes foolish comments like that (like Mrs. Edwards) scare me, too.
