Depending on the patient's overall condition and the cumulative ability of the drugs the doctor prescribed to cause drowsiness I can see this **unless** the doctor,at the very least,strongly advised the patient to be careful while driving...or...better still...if the doctor advised the patient not to drive at all.
But then,OTOH,the judges of the Massachusetts Supreme Court have consistently proven themselves in recent years to be the most worthless individuals on the face of God's green earth,so.....
