I don't think so. From the beginning everyone has known that Hillary's most fearsome opponent is Hillary, and her negatives will never go away. Therefore, she will always be a high risk candidate in danger of a dramatic melt-down at any stage in the next 8 years.

Consequently it is best to get her out now.

The rest of us can relax more with her gone. Without her, the political market will be better able to balance and weigh the actual qualifications of the remaining candidates who present themselves for office.

It would be fabulous to have her out of our way...however, we can’t breathe a sigh of relief and then nominate Huck! We must be vigilant!

I think that you are correct.

In addition, Thanks to the thundering incompetence of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, the DemocRATS are very afraid of losing control of both houses of Congress back to the hated Republicans.

My guess is the DemocRATS would rather keep control of Congress than have the Presidency if the choice is given.
