More liberal carry laws for normal Americans will cut down on whackos - or cut them down.
I'd be willing to bet this perp thought the church was a gun free zone. A lot of them are. But he was wrong. Now, he's dead wrong.
But the problem with liberalizing carry laws is that in order to appear reasonable, they always require background checks, training, etc., so it becomes a form of de facto registration of gun owners. It’s wrong for our government employees to have that much information about their masters. The solution is to scrap prior restrictions on carrying at all.
