As much as I liked Alan, his later life comments just kept sliding into a doomsday scenario whenever he opened his mouth.
I have especially fond remembrances of his "irrational exuberance" speech that cost me more than I can bear to think about.
Finally, I coined a phrase - "Greenspan is going to speak - hold on to your wallet.”
My wife found that immensely amusing and repeated it to anyone whever she had the chance.
