why would Thompson ask him to be his VP? Tancredo may be right on the borders, etc but my Aunt Mildred has more support than he does.

Why did Bush 41 pick Dan Quayle? More goes into a VP selection that who got the next most support in the primaries.
I wouldn't expect Tom Tancredo to be part of an administration. Not in this universe anyway. He's far too polarizing.
