I heard Al and George Soros were an item at Oslo. Tongues are wagging. Think he’ll leave Tipper for George?

Global warming politics.
New age imperative for imperialism.

I always thought it curious that the USA would be opposed whereas the less developed nations had an indifferent attitude. Why? Because based on my experience, the developing world does a lot more nasty polluting than the developed western societies. I’ve seen the smog that hangs over Big Bend all the way to the lower valley El Paso because of Mexican trash burning and diesel engines. I’ve flown over the entire length of Belize and seen hundreds of fires belching fumes in the air. I’ve seen what Mexican field burning in the Yucatan could do to the quality of life in Houston as the sun disappeared for about 6 weeks one spring. I knew the places out of control were not developed.

So this seemed to me like an excuse for the developed to interfere in the politics and destiny of the developing regions. And now you are hearing these people make noises exactly like I presumed. Al Gore is the world’s salesman for western imperialism.
