I agree that her comments aren’t that farfetched. By “Appollo” she simply could have been referring to the space race in general (Sputnik in 1957), or Mercury (astronauts selected in 1959). I wouldn’t make too much of this, although for the smartest woman in the world to confuse Mercury with Appollo is “disappointing.” :-)
Whoops, I mean Apollo, not Appollo.
It speaks HIGHLY of her inability to handle detail.....precision in her speech is essential on the national stage where she presumes she belongs.
