“This scam has legs and I don't know why”

Simple really, there is still lots of money to be made. Once the money goes out of it, the scam will move to the threat of being destroyed by asteroids.

Simple really, there is still lots of money to be made.

I understand the motivation of the scammers: running from pure greed ('Carbon Credit Marketing'), to power-hungry socialists who perceive this as another way to achieve big government control. But I don't understand why this scam still seems to have legs with the 'scammees' (the public at large) ... Maybe it doesn't -- but it seems most people still buy into the nonsense that we have to do something 'now' -- lest all kinds of 'bad stuff' happens (although being a slightly toastier few degrees warmer isn't the worst thing that could happen -- even if I believed this nonsense)...
