I’m a born-again Christian and I’ve entered into the theological debate on FR re. LDS.
I’ve got to agree with you on this one, Rhombus. The real issue is that Huckabee knew the answer before he so “innocently” asked. His theological degrees included extensive comparative religion course studies. His many years as a pastor surely included this issue.
So, you can conclude he was being coy, disingenuous, petty, and conniving when he asked the question. It was a set-up, and I hope it backfires on him.
He is indeed the Huckster. I’m for Fred.
Thank you very much for your honesty. I've spent the last 7 years defending evangelicals and born-agains against constant attacks by Democrats and liberals who warned again and again of theocracy and insisted they people were intolerant. Now Huckabee goes and reinforces everything liberals have said about this large group of people that I tried to defend as sincere. This is why I'm so passionate about what Huckabee has done... and no I'm not a Mormon as many on this site have accused (as if that blows away any right to have an opinion). By the way, I'm for the Republican nominee. The only one I probably wouldn't vote for was Ron Paul. Now I have to add Huckabee to that list.
