WASHINGTON - Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee, an ordained Southern Baptist minister, asks in an upcoming article, "Don't Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?"
The article, to be published in Sunday's New York Times Magazine, says Huckabee asked the question after saying he believes Mormonism is a religion but doesn't know much about it. His rival Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor, is a member of the Mormon church, which is known officially as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The authoritative Encyclopedia of Mormonism, published in 1992, does not refer to Jesus and Satan as brothers. It speaks of Jesus as the son of God and of Satan as a fallen angel, which is a Biblical account.
A spokeswoman for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said Huckabee's question is usually raised by those who wish to smear the Mormon faith rather than clarify doctrine.

You don't have to agree with Romney, I don't on a lot of issues. But since you call him stupid because of his religion, please tell us your credential so we can compare yours with his.
Huck just fell lower in my estimation.
If Huck wishes to run for President, ask Mitt all the questions he wants about issues. If he wants to talk about the Mormon faith, he should drop out of the Presidential race.
State your evidence.

What a horrible thing to say, let alone think. This is the United States of America. This is the GOP, who freed the slaves and gave women the right to vote, etc., etc. People in our great country of ours are free to worship as they wish — it’s called religious freedom and what our great country was founded on.
Thosse two bolded words should answer your question -- says it all.

Is that any surprise? I love Glenn, and listen to him every day. “An Invonvenient Book” is at the top of my Christmas wish list. But....really...c’mon...Glenn has been shilling for Mitt for quite a while.

Wrong. Glenn Beck has been very careful not to endorse anyone. In fact, he interviewed Fred Thompson just yesterday on his show.

The entire Mormon faith and doctrines arise from demonstrably false information. Along with the other fallacies and inconsistencies you have pointed out, the biggest sham was no doubt the account of Lamanites and Nephites being lost tribes of Israel. The Lamanites who were the Native Americans in Smith's account, must therefore be of Semitic origins. However, extensive studies of mytochondrial DNA have proven beyond a doubt that none of the Native American tribes (both North and South American) were Semitic. End of story. This alone should make any person with reasonable intelligence throw out the entire house of tainted cards. But why then do we have intelligent men like Mitt Romney and Glenn Beck, still clinging to this steaming pile of horse pucky called the Book of Mormon? It is the same reason that so many intelligent and well meaning people cling to that even bigger pile of nonsensical excrement called the Koran - You just can't underestimate the power of tradition and group thinking. If you are raised with this stuff and are surrounded by people that think it is true, it is extremely difficult to break free of it, even when confronted with the irrefutable evidence. Breaking free is made even more difficult when you face the threat of death, in the case of Muslims, or complete ostracism, in the case of Mormons.
This is why I have a lot of compassion for people who find themselves in this situation. I will NOT condone their heretical doctrines, but I also will NOT condemn the individual. But what would this have to do with someone's choice for President? Well, I'm sure there are some that would see the inability to break free as a character flaw or weakness- a sign that in some instances, this individual may check their intelligence at the door, for the sake of their comfort and well-being. The flip side of this coin would be the incredible show of strength and character, if someone were to break free and renounce the lies. I have had the privilege of knowing and working with men who did just that in both the case of Islam and Mormonism. They are men I hold in the very highest regard, because I question whether I would have had the same courage in their circumstances.

Unfortunately it was the Evangelicals who started this whole mess. Mitt would never have given his speech if it wasn’t such an issue with those voters. I believe most of them are either uninformed or uneducated or else they wouldn’t be supporting Huckabee.
Is there some kind of chemical contaminant in the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion that destroys the ethical centers of the brain?

I didn’t say he had officially endorsed him. He hasn’t. But anyone who listens to Glenn and can’t hear his constant apologetics for Mitt just isn’t listening critically. Maybe it’s just his own “Mormon persecution complex” coming out. But, it sounds like pretty strong support to me....

I'm not optimistic about this -- lobbying the government to pass a law against vice is easier than persuading people to turn away from vice, just as lobbying the government to send you a check is easier than working for a living, and the former is as seductive (and corrupting) as the latter.
