Bush won this district with 61%. Numbers for congressional districts held by incumbents of the same part should *surpass* those of the presidency—and they did in the previous cycle.
Essentially, this was a net 6% loss for Republicans over the previous cycle.

i suppose I should clarify—this wasn’t a net loss versus 2006. It was about the same. But it was a net loss versus 2004.
And if we’re matching 2006 numbers, we’re not doing well.
