Thanks for the link. The statistics, 2000 Taliban, 50 killed, remind me of the 2001 war. We were helping the Northern alliance through advisors overthrow the Taliban. Everyone critisized the slow progress (over two weeks). They did not fight like we did. They would battle and the one who was losing would slip away.
Then we brought in air strikes. We pinned the Taliban army in place and obliterated them. This was totally new to them. The Taliban government soon collapsed.
