It says he had a take home vehicle. That means that anyone would know a border patrol agent lived in that house. It strains credulity to think this wasn’t another deliberate attack on an agent.
Four armed men bursting into the house while everyone was still probably in bed. It’s a miracle that the good guy won out, IMHO. Skill, yes, but good luck or a little help from God as well.
all anyone would have to do is follow him home or take down plate numbers at the border patrol parking lot and run them to get home addresses. this is a new scary chapter in the border war.
It is certainly possible that they targeted him because he was a BP agent, and they may have intended to kill his entire family.

Its happened before. A number of years ago druggies went after PB agents in Tucson. They attacked 4 homes.
They shot up house #1 and critically injured the agent and his wife.
At house #2, they shot up the house and fortunatly, only minor injures.
House #3 the agent was awake and ready -he killed one of the druggies and his house had minor damage, no injuries.
By the time the druggies got to house #4, WWIII was waiting. It took a while to sort out who was who (all bad guys DOA) then they started tracking down the boss that ordered the hits.
This was back in the day before PC got out of hand.
And since this proved your family would always be at a geater risk - I called the BP and canx my interview. It has only gotten worse over the last decade.
