Well, IIRC, someone was reported to have taken a "pellet" in the leg. That was early on, and kind of confusing, since they were saying "assault rifle" (ie. underpowered ugly gun.)
You see that term, which has very specific DoD definition, missused more and more. At least the graboids could stick to their own made up term, assault weapon, which is loosely defined as any gun they want to ban, this month anyway.
I mean really, how hard can it be for a reporter to ask the simple question, "What type of gun or guns did the killer use? Of course "shotgun" doesn't exactly fit the agenda, not yet anyway.
