Sadly...nothing.

You made the natural mistake of equating 'devout' with 'God honoring', or 'God fearing', or some other aspect of 'goodness'.
If one's 'religion' is based on the worship of a book that was given by satan -- than a devout member of said 'religion' could be expected to murder in a manner such as this.
Sad all around.
For the daughter who sensed something was wrong with the path espoused by her family -- but wasn't quite sure what to do about it (other than to rebel). And for the family whose minds have been blinded by the god of this world who just wants to keep people trapped in darkness.

I don’t see how he can be convicted. He’s a devout muslim. Just practicing his faith and expressing his cultural values. I don’t see him going to prison. Not in that country.

Quite a story, but I expect it won’t have much follow up in the days to come...already falling in the headlines here.

Muslim men killing the wives, daughters or sisters, have been rather routine. It's losing it shock value. The next time a gang rape victim gets 200 lashes, we (and we as the average person, not freeper) won't be as concerned. The gang rape victim will have to be sentenced to additional rapes or possibly be hung? Perhaps she will be 12 years old. Of course, all of this evidence, and we still blindly march down the path of proclaiming cultural diversity to be our most sought after asset.
