I was a born-and-bred Democrat...

Bad things will pass.

Soon after passing through basic training, I had the chance to vote between Ronald Reagan and the worthless Carter. Let's just say I added to the landslide...

I was a Republican back in the days when the R party stood for balanced budgets, conservation of natural resources, a cautious approach to international relations, and non-interference with the civil rights of individuals.

Today, the R party is dominated by warmongers who stand for principles opposed to their conservative roots. I am proud to state that I am now a Democrat. The R party abandoned me when gave up traditional conservative principles and handed themselves over to the neocons.
